NAVIGATING THE JOURNEY INTO ADULTHOOD

Everyone’s path into adulthood looks a little different. With guidance tailored to each young adult’s unique goals and needs, Kate helps them navigate the challenges of this transition with confidence and clarity.

Leaving Home / Residential Changes

Many emerging adults move out of their family home, often multiple times, for school, work, or financial reasons. This shift can spark opportunities to practice time management, budgeting, or self-advocacy skills while learning how to build an independent routine.

High School Graduation

Graduation can bring a mix of emotions—excitement, stress, uncertainty, or even a sense of loss. Guidance during this time often focuses on exploring careers, applying to college, or starting school with a clear plan.

Transition to College

Adjusting to a new academic and social environment can bring homesickness, anxiety, or self-doubt. Support may include managing anxiety, discovering new interests and strengths, and building confidence in a new setting.

Transition Throughout College

Concerns about graduation, future employment, and leaving the college lifestyle often arise. Many benefit from resume-building, exploring career options, applying for jobs or volunteer opportunities, and creating a plan for life after school.

Entering the Workforce

Adapting to professional roles, workplace expectations, and new responsibilities can be overwhelming. Here, we may work on practicing job interviews, managing anxiety and finding balance in a weekly routine.

Identity Exploration Across Domains

Emerging adulthood is also a time of experimenting with relationships, careers, values, cultural identity, and social perspectives. This process often includes building confidence, clarifying goals, and learning more about personal strengths.

TAKING THAT NEXT STEP, TOGETHER

You don’t have to have it all figured out.
Life can feel uncertain, and that’s completely okay. You’re allowed to take your time and find your own path.
Feeling lost, stuck, or overwhelmed doesn’t mean you’ve failed.
Sometimes you just need a different kind of support—someone who understands where you’re at and can help you build confidence, skills, and a plan to move forward.
We’re not here to lecture or pressure you.
Our role is to help you explore your next steps on your terms, walk alongside you as you try them out, and take life one step at a time—whether it’s school, work, or daily responsibilities.

PARENTS, YOU DON’T HAVE TO DO THIS ALONE

You may be feeling frustrated, worried, or unsure how to help your young adult move forward. Maybe you’ve tried therapy, tutoring, or just giving them space, but things still feel stuck. I work directly with young adults to help them figure out what they want, what’s getting in their way, and how to take steps forward. At the same time, I keep you in the loop and provide reassurance that progress is happening, even if it’s slow. My role bridges the gap between independence and support—so you don’t have to carry it all on your own.

I’m not a therapist or tutor—though I often collaborate with those professionals. My background is in school and vocational counseling, and I take a practical, goal-based approach. Think of me as a hands-on guide: helping your young adult take real steps forward, not just talk about it.
