Verge Therapy

ALYSSA REDINGTON, MSW

She/Her/Hers

Therapist

I hold a Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from Simmons University and completed my undergraduate studies at Saint Anselm College, where I majored in Psychology with a minor in Spanish. I am based in the Braintree office, and I offer both in-person and telehealth sessions.

My professional experience spans multiple levels of mental health care. I began my career working in inpatient settings, supporting individuals experiencing acute psychiatric crises. From there, I transitioned to a residential behavioral health school for adolescents and have since gained experience conducting neuropsychological testing, as well as working in a group-based partial hospitalization program for adults navigating complex mental health challenges.

My therapeutic approach is strengths-based and client-centered, with an emphasis on empowerment, collaboration, and meaningful goal-setting. I regularly incorporate evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Motivational Interviewing. I also work from an environmental and identity-affirming lens, recognizing the profound impact of each client’s unique context, lived experiences, and identities.

I have had the privilege of working with individuals across the lifespan and from a wide range of backgrounds and marginalized identities. My clinical experience includes supporting clients experiencing anxiety, depression, complex trauma, grief, and psychosis. As a White woman, I actively acknowledge my privilege and am committed to ongoing learning, self-reflection, and the dismantling of systemic oppression within and beyond the therapy space.

In addition to my clinical work, I am a Certified Personal Trainer and believe deeply in a holistic view of wellness. I recognize the strong connection between mental and physical health and prioritize helping clients feel safe, grounded, and at ease in their bodies. Therapy, in my view, is a collaborative process with the client firmly in the driver’s seat. Guided by polyvagal theory, I focus on attunement, active listening, and building a secure therapeutic relationship to support nervous system regulation. I believe healing occurs through connection, safety, boundaries, and increased awareness of one’s emotions and internal experiences.

Outside of work, you can usually find me spending time with my two-year-old puppy, Diana, at the gym, out for a run, or practicing yoga. I love being outdoors as much as possible and am always happiest on a warm, sunny day at the beach.
