CATHERINE RUTSTEIN, M.A.
She/Her/Hers
I am a master’s-level clinician based in Woburn offering in-person and telehealth sessions. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Therapeutic Art from the University of Tampa and my Master of Arts in Counseling with a concentration in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of North Carolina. I have a background in working with children, teens, and families in both an early childhood education setting as well as an outpatient setting. In addition to my previous work experience, I have completed the Gottman Method Level 1 training for couples counseling.
I primarily work with children, teens, couples, and families who are facing challenges in their academic, personal, or professional lives. Whether those challenges be anxiety, depression, ADHD, relationship difficulties, life transitions, or pregnancy and parenthood, I am here to support you through this journey. I especially enjoy working with clients who are curious about understanding themselves on a deeper level and are open to creating positive changes in their lives.
Through a person-centered lens, I integrate several modalities into my work based on each client’s unique needs. These modalities include CBT, ACT, DBT, Child-Centered Play Therapy, the Gottman Method, and expressive art therapies. I aim to create a safe, supportive, and collaborative space that fosters growth in each and every one of my clients.
When I am not working, you may find me spending time with my dog Poppy, listening to a true crime podcast, doing arts & crafts, or reading a good book.
