Dana Emling
she/her/hers
Intake & Scheduling Specialist
As one of the first people you’ll speak with at Verge Therapy, Dana knows that reaching out for help isn’t always easy. She believes a simple conversation can make a big difference, and her goal is to help every client feel comfortable, heard, and genuinely cared for from the very beginning. With a calm, down-to-earth approach, she enjoys getting to know each individual and helping connect them with the clinician who feels like the right fit.
Before joining Verge, Dana owned and operated an in-home care company, where she worked closely with seniors and families during some of the more difficult seasons of life. That experience taught her the importance of listening without judgment, staying present, and remembering that we’re all human living this life together. She believes that even in hard moments, kindness, empathy, and a little bit of laughter can go a long way.
Family is at the center of Dana’s life. She is incredibly proud of her two children, who have grown into kind and caring adults, and she treasures every opportunity to spend time with her granddaughter. Outside of work, she enjoys baking, cooking, reading, traveling, and spending time at the beach, where she feels most at peace. She’s also the proud owner of two spunky chocolate Shih Tzus, Caleb and Copper. If you ask her about coffee, she’ll tell you she’s a bit of a coffee purist—a simple dark roast is all she needs. Although, she won’t say no to French fries, chips and dip, or ice cream covered in chocolate syrup.
