Hannah Brown, LICSW
She/Her/Hers
I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) based in Milton, offering both Telehealth and in-person sessions. I earned my Bachelor of Social Work through Wheelock College and my Master of Social Work through the University of Southern California. I have enjoyed roles including parent coach, family therapist, and individual therapist. I also have experience working with systems including various schools, the Department of Children and Families, and the Department of Mental Health.
I use a trauma-informed approach and draw heavily from narrative therapy and CBT while integrating additional modalities such play therapy and solution-focused therapy. I believe trauma can often go overlooked despite its intergenerational impact and I aim to help people make sense of the things they have experienced. I am also trained in EMDR.
I believe in the power of changing your own narrative and see therapy as a place to take ownership of your life. My goal is always to utilize your strengths to help process whatever life event you are currently experiencing, whether it be a big transition, your past being triggered or something in between. I approach each session with curiosity and empathy. I will work to meet you where you are at in a supportive but honest manner and encourage you to show up as your most authentic self.
When not at the office you can typically find me hanging out with some of my 10 nieces and nephews, curled up reading a good book, doing legos, or planning my next tattoo.
