KATI DICARLO, LMHC
She/Her/Hers
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) based in Woburn, offering both in-person and telehealth sessions. I completed my undergraduate degree in Psychology and my Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling at Northeastern University. My career began in a residential treatment program supporting children and adolescents with emotional and behavioral challenges related to complex trauma. I later transitioned into a school-based outpatient role, where I have worked with clients ages 6 to 18 experiencing depression, anxiety, ADHD, and PTSD. I am also passionate about providing a safe, affirming, and supportive space for LGBTQ+ children, adolescents, and young adults at all stages of their journey.
My therapeutic approach is person-centered and trauma-informed. I draw from a variety of evidence-based modalities, including CBT, DBT, ACT, and strengths-based interventions. I strive to bring authenticity, warmth, and humor to our sessions and believe that the therapeutic relationship is the foundation to healing. I encourage clients to show up as they are, whether they are unsure why they’re in therapy or ready to explore themselves more deeply. Together, we’ll work together to identify and build on each of your strengths and foster healing in ways that feel authentic, including creative, artistic, and verbal forms of expression.
When I’m not at work, you can find me cross-stitching, playing video games, reading horror fiction, or begging my Golden Retriever to drop whichever “treasure” he’s decided to bring home.
