About Our Chief Clinical Officer
KJ LINDQUIST, LICSW
Chief Clinical Officer
Clinical Strategy & Leadership Culture
KJ serves as the Chief Clinical Officer of Verge Therapy, where she leads the clinical vision and standards that guide care across the organization. A Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker, KJ brings extensive experience across inpatient, residential, emergency, and outpatient mental health settings.
As CCO, KJ is responsible for maintaining the clinical integrity of Verge Therapy as the organization grows. She oversees clinical training, supervision, and consultation structures that support clinicians in delivering thoughtful, high-quality care. Her work focuses on building systems that allow clinical excellence to remain consistent across a scaling practice.
A central part of KJ’s leadership is cultivating Verge’s clinical culture. She works closely with clinicians and leadership to ensure that Verge’s values—clinical curiosity, collaboration, and thoughtful care—remain embedded as the organization evolves. KJ also brings a strong clinical lens grounded in anti-racist practice, LGBTQ+ advocacy, and neurodivergent-affirming care, helping ensure that Verge’s services remain inclusive, responsive, and developmentally informed.
KJ is also the architect of Verge Foundations, Verge’s clinical framework designed to support children, adolescents, and families through structured, developmentally informed care. The model integrates evidence-based approaches with a relational philosophy that supports both effective treatment and strong therapeutic relationships.
In addition to her work at Verge Therapy, KJ contributes to the development of The Verge Method™, bringing expertise in building clinical systems that support both clinician development and consistent quality of care as organizations scale.
Prior to joining Verge Therapy’s leadership team, KJ held clinical roles at several leading institutions including McLean Hospital’s DBT residential program, the McLean-Franciscan Adolescent Inpatient Psychiatric Unit, and Boston Children’s Hospital Emergency Department. She also served as Clinical Director at a residential therapeutic school supporting neurodiverse adolescents and young adults.
KJ is deeply committed to helping clinicians grow into confident, thoughtful practitioners while ensuring that clients and families receive high-quality, evidence-informed, and affirming care.
