Mackenzie Gray, LCSW
She/Her/Hers
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with over 20 years of experience in human services, providing in-person and virtual therapy in Woburn. I earned dual bachelor’s degrees in Sociology and Women’s Studies from the University of Vermont and a Master’s in Social Work from Salem State University, where I was inducted into Phi Kappa Phi and Tri Alpha honor societies.
Throughout my career, I have worked across diverse settings including residential programs, healthcare facilities, shelters, crisis units, and in-home services. I specialize in supporting adolescents, adults, and families navigating trauma, depression, anxiety, crisis, identity development, self-injury, suicidal ideation, and complex family dynamics. I have extensive experience working with co-occurring disorders, including bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and borderline personality disorder.
I am especially committed to serving LGBTQ+ youth and adults, particularly those facing discrimination, homelessness, or identity-related challenges. I am especially passionate about addressing the intersectionality of the LGBTQ+ identity and homelessness, advocating for both inclusive and affirming services. My approach is trauma-informed, strength-based, and tailored to each individual, integrating CBT, DBT, motivational interviewing, solution-focused therapy, and harm reduction to help clients move toward meaningful change.
When I am not working, I can often be found riding my motorcycle, embracing the sense of freedom and forward momentum that I encourage in my clients or spending time with my four-legged family and enjoying ice cream!
