Verge Therapy

MADELINE LEONARD, M.S.

She/Her/Hers

Therapist

I earned my Master’s degree in Professional Counseling from Carlow University, I have since worked in a range of clinical settings supporting children, adolescents, and adults between the ages of 4 and 75. My professional experience includes work in group home settings, outpatient clinics serving individuals in recovery from substance use, and school-based environments. These varied roles have allowed me to develop a thoughtful, adaptable, and compassionate approach to care.

I work with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, substance use concerns, trauma, and ADHD. I aim to provide a safe, supportive, and collaborative therapeutic space where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered to explore their experiences at their own pace.

My therapeutic approach integrates evidence-based practices with creativity and mindfulness. I often incorporate play, artistic expression, grounding and mindfulness techniques, empathetic listening, and gentle exploration of thought and behavior patterns that may be impacting daily life. I view therapy as a collaborative process, where my role is to support and guide clients as they work toward their personal goals and a life that feels meaningful to them.

Outside of the therapy space, I enjoy spending time in nature, reading, painting, and practicing yoga. These activities help me remain grounded and present, qualities I value deeply in both my personal life and my work as a therapist.
